Once you have blown out areas there is no fixing it as there are no details left at all. You could try and use the clone tool and set the blend mode to darken and play witht he opcaity levels to try and bring some detail from other areas back into it.
Or, use it to your advanatge. Create a high key black and white and see what that may look like

Yes, a high key black and white might be the trick, as this is too bright to be nice on the eyes. Maybe throw up a black and white for us to see!

Well, if you change the angle of the view and adjust some background so that the bottom is
not more visible, then it can be looked better. The sharp colors of the bottom are also not giving a good impact as the focus must be on building not background.

Did you use any kind of filters in front of the lens when you took this shot? A polarizer or Neutral Density filter may have helped here.
The right side of this building is almost totally blown out. Using an ND filter is like putting sunglasses on your camera. It will block some of that light hitting the sensor and help to capture more of the detail that is missing in this photograph. Another thing to try is stepping down your exposure bias a stop or two. Or maybe taking three exposures with a normal, a -2 and a +2 exposure bias and merging them together as in HDR. |
