Maybe crop off the two white rocks at the bottom of the image, just a bit distracting other wise great shot! Perfectly executed with the contrast and depth and still see the detail in the dark rocks.

I love the way the rock line leads the eye right up to the lighthouse. Like mvalentin said crop out those off color rocks at the bottom and you have yourself a dang fine shot.

Thanks for the criticism, I agree. This site and the constructive feed-back should def help my photography obsession.
I just used a spot healing brush in CS4 to remove the rocks. Super easy fix.
Thanks.

Is this a converted color shot or did you shoot it in B&W?

Ah, I was wondering how a filtered B&W conversion would look like. But never mind then.

Filtered B&W meaning, convert with varying amounts of red, green, or blue contributing to the black and white conversion -- that can change the relative darkness and brightness of different parts.

For the record, I really like this as well. I actually feel like the rocks along the cliff face are the real subject -- textured and almost moving. Very cool.

There seems to be a bit of a lens distortion that is making the lighthouse look slightly surreal.

As for the rest, maybe bump up your midtones some to bring out more lightness in the rocks.
