Default East London Graffiti

Hey everybody!

I took this whilst in East London the other day, I really liked the graffiti - obviously I've done a bit of editing work on the photo, any feedback with regards to the style, composition etc. would be great

Camera: Canon EOS 40D
Lens: EF-S 18-85 USM
Shutter Speed: 1/30
Aperture: f5
ISO: 100
Focal Length: 20.0mm

I like the shot and the pp, but I'm left disappointed that I can't see more of the graffiti

If I had the opportunity, I think I might have shot from across the street (assuming the street wasn't full of cars) to get the facade straight on.

To showcase the perspective, I would have liked to see more of the footpath and the converging lines.

To me your shot is stuck somewhere between the two. Still very nice work though, and I like it a lot!

That's the same thought I had, we cna only really see two pieces. I don't think shooting straight-on is a good idea, it might look too "clinical", but maybe pulling back from the wall a bit so there's not as extreme an angle.

I like this composition, but I think you might get interesting results if you include some of the context, too. See what happens if you get the street in there, instead of filling the frame with the wall.

The color reduction = bleh. Should be an interesting enough subject that it can stand out without resorting to tricks.
