Default Sequel to Gnarly Tree

Yesterday's picture drew feedback that I should highlight the texture of the tree trunk. I was not able to save yesterday's picture, but I think this picture does does a decent job highlighting the texture on the trunk. What could I have done differently in terms of composition to make it better? I adjusted the brightness and contrast using Picknik.

Gnarly tree
