Default One of my first attempts as a photo enthusiast

So here is one of my very first attempts at photography that I was more or less happy with the results. I posted this in the pic sharing thread but as I am new to this I'd appreciate any critique's out there as it relates to composition, color, etc.

Unfortunately many of the finer settings escapes me but it was taken with a Sony a330 and I did a bit of post production touch up to it. Originally the photo had a bit of a blue tinge, attempted some color balance, cropping, and added the vignette.

Thanks for any input and try to be gentile!

Looks like a nice building to photograph. The exposure looks pretty good. The building looks like it could be sharper. A smaller aperture (larger aperture #) might help, giving you a greater depth of field. Did you use a tripod? Depending on shutter speed a tripod can help also.
Another composition thing for me is it looks like there is small hill in the foreground, I would suggest moving to the top of that rise to include the base of the building.

Hope that helps,
Mike

Yes, great start and very interesting building. I too find the foreground a distraction.

Nice pic, the sky is very interesting as if the clouds radiated from the building.. A great symetrical shot of the building as well.
