Thanks Martin - I fixed my post by removing the two additional pics.

Hello Photostudent (aren't we all!).

This is my first time actually giving critique here so here goes.

I actually like the picture. I find myself looking up at the branches & sky wondering how to capture it properly & still haven't taken one that I'm 100% happy with.

I think all I'd change would be some more detail in the tree trunk.

On the critique rule section you'll find:

# Please include the following information, if possible, with your image: EXIF info, type of camera, specific questions (What do you think? is not a specific question). A meaningful title, NOT "Critique Please", will also get your post noticed in a crowded section.

This is always helpful so everyone knows how you took it, even though most or all of it is on Flickr, its nice to have here.

Good work

Bosque

There is lots of texture in that trunk and I want to see that. It would then lead upto the branches perfectly!!

So, a little under exposed. I think you can afford to blow the sky out a little to get that texture in the bark.

Bosque/Jamie - Thank you for your feedback. Valuable to me as it helped me see what was wrong.

Bosque - I have now added the EXIF data to the original pic

Bosque/Jamie - Your comments both indicate that I should have highlighted the texture of the trunk more. I do have another pic on Flickr that I will post as a new thread (per forum rules) where I did just that. You are right - it does add a lot more to the pic.

Thanks again for pointing it out.
