I can't decide...My first impression is that it is too dark but then when I look at it longer, it does evoke a sense of calm.

I don't think it's too dark. It does have a great mood to it. I bet it looks great in a larger size on a black background.

Thanks guys for the comments, When photographing at this location, the surrounding was amazingly calm, no wind, crickets or mosquitoes buzzing, the only noise available was from my camera click, which i feel could be heard 20 feet away..! . It even caught the attention of somebody fishing at the other end of the jetty. I was surprised myself at the serene conditions there.
