Hi there...I have been sharing my shots for a while now but want to get some indebt comments .These two photos for example were taken in Aperture mode with my Nikkon D40.
I find something lacking in it...Depth,lighting.....I feel they don't give you that punch!!!Can anyone suggest ways to improve . Last edited by placky; 01-13-2010 at 08:44 AM. |

Hi, thanx for sharing the photos. Your pics are good. The composition is also good. I have attached the first photo after some editing. Now does it have the punch that you are talking about? If you want me to remove then I will.

Hi lex,
Yaa thats very good. The sun rays are more visible. The contrast added is giving more depth to the image. In my image the visibility of sand & tyre was shifting the attention from Sun set and its rays. That was playing the spoilsport. I want to print it on Canvas or some other interesting media...What do you say!!!!How big a print I can take without affecting the resolution... |

Hi leviathan,
I wanted to use the tyre in a more aesthetic way.. but somehow couldn't capture that mood..Thats was the reason for it to look very ugly. After lex had made the editing..it is looking more good.I mean the mood I wanted to portray is being seen.. BTW I have gone through your Blog. The pics are awesome!!!!Can you give me some suggestions about my second pic . |

hi..
for the first picture....more saturation of color of the rays i think would be better and cropping a little bit at the left for the second....if you have use a circular filter the sky color is more blue and so as the beach..nice composition |
