Exif data would help a lot. Just quickly pointing out - your snow is grey, you need to over-expose 1 1/2 to 2 stops when photographing snow if you want it to be white. |

I agree with a little more exposure to brighten and whiten the snow. More importantly, if this was done in the morning, I would have taken more time waiting for the sun to get higher in the sky to have less of the snow in shade. If this was in the afternoon, start earlier for the same reason. Perhaps move a little farther from the fence so that it extends into the image at a greater angle.
As stated in the previous critique, it needs more exposure. Snow confuses averaging or matrix metering, so it helps to use spot metering along with making several exposures, opening the aperture a half-stop more on each to be sure you get the best exposure. It really does need a point of interest for the fence to lead the eye to, so moving out from the fence as stated above might help to lead the eye to the tree (or another tree or object) on the horizon. The second shot is effective as a snapshot or documentation image, but doesn't emphasize or focus on a main subject except the uninteresting partial view of the SUV. Good work on the first one, though. Keep at it, and learn from DPS. I've been doing photography for over 50 years, and I've learned much from visiting DPS!
