Default Winter Boats

Hey all,

I was wondering if there's a better crop or some pp that would make it a better photo.

were it mine, i would crop a chunk from the top, and make it a long elongated landscape. the feature for me is the dminishing patterns of the bows and the drifted snow. the buildings in the back... (i hate using this term, but....) they distract me. I'd also try a high contrast black and white treatment too.

I had a quick go at cropping on my computer and it looks to me like if you crop just to the left of boat 2 and take off at least half of the top of the buildings too you get a shot that has a bit more in-your-face-wow-factor when it comes to the wonderful yellow boats covered in snow.

For me I'd also consider tinkering with contrast/ brightness a tiny bit to see if the snow on the boats can be toned down just a little.

And because I love punchy vibrant colour why not just see for yourself about more saturation; in my 20 second test it brough out the orange under the boat lids which was interesting!

Good shot though; nice one.
