Hello and welcome to DPS.

There area a few things about critique section that you should read in the rules for posting like using a bit smaller image for people who dont have high speed internet and take forever to upload a page. Usually medium size on flickr is good and links back to your flickr account if we need to see a bigger version. EXIF file is a must also in this section and a specific question about what you need critique on.

That being said, i think your picture has a lot of potential but i find the sky is overexposed and foreground underexposed. If you were going for the silhouettte then you should have set your exposure for the sky and if you were going for the details in the woods then you should have exposed correctly for the woods. now you are inbetween. since the sky is already overexposed then i would have pusshed towards the scenery and lighten it up in PP. Maybe a change of sky could also help. Have you tryed bracketing and HDR? It does work great on days like this with harsh light blowing out the sky.

PS i really like the samurai self portrait on your photostream.

A like this - technicalities aside (yep would have been nice to have some sky - multiple exposures then HDr is good for this), I like the mood portrayed here. If you had a person sitting or lying on the leaves it would make a great background for a portrait.
