Hi wadazomo,

You didn't ask any questions, but since you posted your image in the critique section I assume that you are looking for some feedback. So, if I may be so bold...

This is a very interesting image. I love the idea behind the image, but it doesn't quite work for me. I love the reflection. I love the idea of the old reflected in the new, but the flat white sky and the dull gray pavement lack the so called 'wow' factor. My thinking is that this image was taken at the wrong time of day.

If I had found this place, I would have waited until twilight (10-15 minutes after sunset) and captured the image with a cobalt blue sky, black pavement and maybe even some streaking car headlights as well as the reflection. That would make the image really stand out.

If twilight isn't what you want, then I would go first thing in the morning (just after sunrise) and capture the image with some nice warm side light and hopefully a blue sky.

You could go after a rain storm or a snow storm, when the pavement would be wet and shiny.

If this location is in your hometown and is someplace that you can easily get to, then I recommend shooting it again and again at different times of day, different times if year/seasons, different types of weather, etc. That is something that I have done and it has really helped my cityscape photography.

This image has potential to be an amazing shot. Good luck and great first try!

Default Thank you

Exactly the feedback I was looking for. The sky did take away from the shot. And I had to work to keep traffice out of the picture. It is close by and I will work on other times of day. Thanks for the feedback
