Wink Reflection

2010_01010235

Walking the dog, midday.

Exposure: 0.005 sec (1/210)
Aperture: f/3.5
Focal Length: 5 mm
ISO Speed: 100
Exposure Bias: 0 EV

Any ideas on what I could have done better? Or even still could do? Like with some editing?
I'm very new to this, looking for suggestions/advice to improve my pictures.=)

This is a beautifull reflection shot you got. the low clouds are really adding to the shot but there is a lot of empty space top right. Did you try a shot looking just a bit to the left? The mountain is a stronger subject with it`s reflection. In PP, you could try replacing the sky with another one that has a bit of life but i cannot help you on that because i am not very good at PP. In all, it is a very nice shot and i can see why you would have stopped to shoot it.

I did get another shot more to the left, but it was a bit too far to the left, I think. I was in a rush because my dog doesnt like to stop for anyone!

this is my dog:

her name is jesse and we aren't too sure what kind of dog she is, but she's really little.=)

It's a beautiful and technically proficient shot, unfortunately the white dull sky in the top right hand corner competes for attention and distracts attention away from the beauty of the rest.

However in saying that, it's not always possible to arrange nature to suit oneself LOL. Have you tried trying to put a bit of sky in PP???

I checked it out on flickr, and there is enough information left to fix the original sky. I can show you what I mean if you like?

It is actually a very nice image!

Thank you, and yes, barade suggested the sky idea too. I'm not actually sure how to do this. I'm new to this, and I dont even know what PP is..

I really like this, and didn't even notice the blown sky at first as I was looking at those oh so soft trees. Almost like a painting! Nice capture.
