Very nice view and perspective. Curious what the color version looked like, but really like the black and white on the wood grain and mountains. Great shot.

There is no "color version". I shoot in monotone when the goal is a B&W final image. I don't see any point in having a color image file of a shot that I never have any intention of publishing in color. As well, I find that I, personally, can achieve MUCH more desireable results using monotone-specific techniques in the camera, rather than preset filters or the Channel Mixer in the computer.

Thanks, everyone, for the comments!

Nice shot of the Sierras there. My only criticism is that the weeds in the foreground are a bit distracting and don't seem to go along with the rest of the shot. It might be nice to be able to include the fence without the ground. That said, you did well here.

I think you are right about this when you have an idea in your mind of what the outcome of the shot will be. Maybe you should consider shooting RAW, then you will have all of the features of your camera in one file ( Color, Monochrome, Sepia, Filters ) Without the need of PP.
Your shot and perspective is just incredible. Do you have others with different view points, i would love to see them?
