I just bought my first DSLR and this is one of my first photos. I think the image may be to dark but was looking for input on how I could improve this shot.

Thanks in advance.

I like the composition, the fence makes a great leading line, sky is superb. My only issue is I think the white is a little too white, its almost blinding, doesn't look natural to me. These are my thoughts, I hope this helps.

The fence is a little bright, but I think the house itself is exposed nicely.
I would prefer a wider shot that included more sky. Blue and white are one of the nicest color contrasts for photographs, and I think here it would make a lovely shot even more so.

I love this shot - it has a brilliant ambience to it. I love when photos present a slightly altered sense of reality (but then will photoshop, it's questionable if reality is ever able to be presented - but I digress).

Only thing I would suggest is to increase the contrast on the tree shadows on the house - I think the photo would have a bit more punch then.

But love this image - well done.
