Default Sydney harbour

iam only new to using a DSLR but love taken pics of cities
this one of my major goes at it
taken with a d300s with a 18mm to 200mm vr2 lens
with cp filter any info of what could have done better will help me greatley

Nice photo, have been to Sydney a few times but havent seen from that angle good work

This looks like a post card. If that was the effect you wanted you did well. The color looks great the composition works for me, I love the busy harbor, looks like a robust place. I also like that you included the Sydney Icon in the far right

Great to meet another cityscape enthusiast! I can spend many many hours wandering around Sydney with my cam, exploring and taking many pics (amazing what you find down the not-so-busy roads and lane ways. Have you been to cockatoo island in the harbour??? A photographer's goldmine!

Anyway, sorry for the digression,

I agree that it's a unique shot of Sydney Harbour. I really like it. But for me (and remember any critique is subjective), there seems to be just a little too much water in the foreground. Perhaps if there was another boat in the lower right hand side, it could add interest and a 'circular' composition.

But its just a little thing - well done.
