Default River gorge

Took this photo this sunday when i went to confluence of two rivers.I feel its a good picture.Need your thoughts on it.



EXIF info:
Focal length 9.7m
Shutter speed 1/1250s
Aperture f/3.2
ISO 80
Camera: Sony DSC H7

I am not sure whether the aperture is right or not should i have chosen a greater depth of field?

I think the composition is qite ok. I like the noise too.
Maybe the contrast is set to high, the shadows are too dark especially on the right side.

Added the noise and contrast in Picasa.Ya i think the detail on the right should have been more visible

I agree, I like the leading line through the middle (the water), but the detail on the sides needs to be a bit more pronounced.

i'll take that as a compliment johny.It really made me feel the same way when I saw the pic on my system and thts why i changed it to b/w and added the film grain.
I guess this is my first photo which was understood the way it was meant to be.Thank you
