I agree -- the photo is very busy. More importantly, it has no clear subject(s). I know how it goes -- I imagine that this was very pretty in person -- but photos really need some individual subject to catch the eye.
The saturation looks plenty high to me -- it's quite saturated already.

i've had simular troubles with pictures looking one way on my computer (a net book), and totally differant when developed. twice now i've had pictures developed at wal-mart (yes they do enlargements). when i check the image on other computers they come out fine, but when i had them developed they came out to dark or to heavely saturated.
one thought for your next attempt (not having to do with saturation). get the shot from a differant perspective. i willl some times lie on the ground and am often rewarded with a shot people like. the swamp i live in hasn't much for color (other then brown and green) so perspective is my tool. |

Thank you both. I've just tried cropping to take out a lot of the busy foreground and focus more on the rocks in the background (and the heavy tree on the right gives a bit of frame), and I think it improves things. Not to make a new post, it's on my Flickr page right next to the other one. 4187973089_73b670d0ed_b.jpg on Flickr - Photo Sharing!. Does that help?
