I don't think you should crop out the rocks in the bottom right corner. It grounds the subject and also provides the subject with a context. If the rocks were not there, I would be left with a lot of questions. Seeing the snow on the rocks helps me understand that there is snow on the subject. It informs me that it's winter time. It also draws my eyes around the entire image, and makes the image much more dynamic than if it were cropped.

I think the un cropped version is better my self as well it just looks lost out at sea with no rocks.
If you could take the shot at a lower tide so there were more pebbles leading up towards the rock maybe that would have helped so the rock wasn't all out on its own... but saying that the fact it does gives it a surreal look and I kinda like it

I don't think I would crop.
But I think there wouldn't even be a question if you had used a lower vantage point to take the pic. By getting down lower it would bring the foreground/subject/horizon closer together vertically. And I think the vertical space/separation is the problem with this image... BTW, nice use of DOF!
