I had posted this a while ago, but I had done so after ignoring the size restriction, so I'm reposting it. My apologies to the mod tht deleted it, I will be more careful in the future.
About the image. I like the idea in principle, but I think I could do a better job than this. Starting wth a shorter exposure. I did use a tripod, the shake is from the cutout actually swaying in the wind Camera: Nikon D40X Lens: AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G Shot at 55 mm Exposure: Manual exposure, 28.7 sec, f/22, ISO 200, Compensation: -5 Flash: none Focus: AF-A at 3.4m, with a depth of field of about 4.2m (from about 1.1m before the focus point to about 3.1m after) ![]() How would you have done the shot differently, and what can I (or could I have done) do to improve the picture?

The idea is there all right but I think there is just too much going on in this photo. Between all the stuff int he background and the lighted dude its just chaotic.

What suggestions do you have? How would you have taken the photo. I should probably say a little about the photo. My idea was that I'd show that people still hold the concept of god very dear even in a modern society. Hence I tried to frame the cars whizzing by. The freak line on top is a light on top of a bus.

I think maybe this would be an even better shot if it was taken as a portrait of the light guy. I'm not sure how often buses run down that road, but taking the picture again without a bus going through would definitely make a difference. Also, if you took it as a portrait, you could still capture the god and the cars whizzing by without the building and other light in your picture (unless you wanted them in the picture). That would do a lot to cut out other distractions because I think it is a little crowded myself. Interesting idea though.

I think I should've done that. But the problem with the buildings was that I couldn't find a vantage point that didn't include the buildings
