Hi

Please check it out. I am new in the field of Photography.....hope to hear in where i can improve.....

Firstly, welcome to DPS!

Oh WOAH! This is stunning!! Im new to photography too...but its a great shot. Good job And silence is a perfect title for this one.

Im sure the others will help you with their ideas/opinions. But look forward to seeing a lot more of your work!

great photo! stick around on these forums and you'll be a pro in no time. There's 3 quick things you can do to make this photo really pop:

1) Make the horizon level. this can be done very easily in post processing.

2) bring the contrast up a bit in the top half of the image (i.e. the mountains and sky). One easy way to try to do this is the digital equivalent of an ND grad filter. I'm not sure what program you're using for post-processing, but a gradient filter to darken the sky might be what you're looking for.

3) If possible, recompose the shot so that the boats aren't being cut off at the edges. This doesnt seem doable using cropping, so just keep that in mind in the future.

Once again, you have a great eye for photography and a great photo right here.
