Question Composition tips

November Evening

Camera: Nikon D60
Exposure: 0.25 sec (1/4)
Aperture: f/5.3
Focal Length In35mm Format: 66 mm
ISO Speed: 400
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: No Flash
Light Source: Tungsten

I was going for Symmetry here, but now when I look at the photo I think it could be better if I had moved what's in the centre of it more to the top or bottom... What do you think?

It's taken of hand, without tripod, and I had to be quick to avoid some girls running behind me from entering the scene... So I reacted (not without the plan, it's not a snap, mind you) and got this. But that doesn't mean I should not learn from it, right?

I think the composition is ok. The lines at the bottom left leading to the far out people into the frame is nice.

Nice moody atmosphere here. I think in this particular situation a longer focal length would have been what I selected. It would compress the lights together more, create fewer distracting elements intruding in the image as well as putting more emphasis on the subject (the people). Cropping the photo won't achieve the same look. Judging by the shoot you probably just happened to notice this when you had your walk around lens on. If you took the time to swap lens you may have missed the shot.

I still like the image, I've always liked foggy moody images such as this.

Thank you for sharing!

Thanx for the comments.
I only have this one lens, so I really had no choice but to use it. My plans to have 50mm and 200m by now were... delayed, at best. Need to wait for a better job.
