Default Rose Blossom

Here's a photo I like to call my favorite. I took the photo with a Nikon D60 using a Nikkor AF-S 55-200mm ED VR lens. The only thing I think may be wrong with it is too much saturation.

Exif:
Exposure time: 1/640s
Exposure bias value: 0.00 eV
ISO speed: 400
F-number: f/7.1
Metering mode: Center weighted average
Focal length: 200mm
White balance: Manual white balance

I like it. Saturation is a preference. I happen to like heavier saturation. Maybe it would have more impact with the only the single bud as the focus.

I think so too. I was limited to shooting positions with this one as the bush was next to my house hence the use of 200mm. The other buds and the leaf in the lower right to distract from the main subject though.

I agree. Perhaps slightly lower the saturation and exposure. More importantly, however, there is a lot of empty space in the left half of the frame. It would look great if the largest bud was framed in the upper left third to give balance to the image.

In regards to the saturation, I find that bold reds are really hard to photograph in bright light. The colors seem to 'wash out'.
