Default Veterans' Day in Central Park

Central Park carriage

I am new to digital photography and I took this in color and used black & white effects. I am wondering what viewers think of both the balance of dark & light and the composition (is there more effective framing for this shot than what I have here?

The B&W looks pretty good to me and I think works well on this image. As far as composition, I think you are on the right track I just would have like the entire coach in the frame.

Thumbs up

I would have to agree with Mike. The balance of the white/black and the gray tones work really well. As for the composition it is good but I would also want to see the full coach.

Good Job
