I think this is a beautifull picture, Rules are made to be broken especially when reflections come into play so no it does not bother me that the horizon is in the middle.

Horizon is fine in my opinion.
I like your vantage point. This really sets the capture apart from others.
The shell or rock really makes this capture work. It gives the eyes something to fix upon when first viewing the capture and then the eyes can wonder thru the remainer of the scene.
My only question is, why f/4 ? Seems a rather shallow dpeth of field for this shot considering the clouds and reflections were what really caught your interest.

Great shot and reflections but I would crop the picture a little because the rocks under water surface at the front a little distracting. I would crop just a little below the orange'ish rock. That would make the reflection more visible to the eye and delete the distractions. What do you think?

It this what you had in mind?...I thought about a crop....but i am a beginner and i was told....that unconventional photo formats are tricky thing and so i was a bit afraid not to spoil the photo

yes, that's what I meant (more or less ). "Unconventional photo formats" are tricky when you try to order big format printouts in online services as they have fixed dimensions and quite often such a picture would be cropped to their standardized dimensions. The truth is that you should be careful with cropping for a beginner in a sense: don't try to get use to cropping every photo in post-processing; Try to take pictures as you would like them to look at the final stage and do little or rather none cropping in post-processing process. But sometimes, we are limited by lenses and cropping is necessary.
