i think the 3rd one is my favorite, the others are quite flat and not a whole lot of contrast to make them pop

A great start and it is an excellent b&W subject.

Following is my edited version, using my limited skills with Photoshop. I don't know if you have editing software, but this is what I did:

1. I adjusted the Levels (or light distribution histogram), to get full blacks and whites and the needed contrast just popped out.

2. I cropped off the garage door on the LHS. The light concrete wall then finishes around the third point and draws in the eye.

3. I had a rough go at getting rid of the sunspot near the top

And added a black edge (by increasing the "canvas" size by 3 pixels in black) which always seems to enhance B&W posts!

Hope this is useful.

By the way, can anyone help me with actually pasting photos on here? I've tried attaching them, and also linking to my flickr account, but neither just pastes a regular size photo in my posting like most people seem to do.

Thanks

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the comments and tips for these photos. I really hoped to make it to this location earlier in the day while there were some low hanging dark clouds in the sky, but I missed my chance.
Anyway, thanks again for your comments, and I'll be getting something new up here soon.
