This is a really good photo. I like it. I don't think the sky on the right side is distracting. I like the way it's a little bit brighter on that side. I think it's important to not worry too much about the fact that some veteran photographer might say that the sky is too "blown out." You could worry all day about the technical aspect of photography (which is important to a degree) but the simple reality is that this photo is pleasing.

Nice capture.
The blown out sky to the right is rather subtle therefore I don't find horribly distracting. I like the colors on the barn but would be tempted to copy it and try a b&w conversion also to compare.

Although I'm a huge fan of b&w photos ,I too agree the color vesion is the better of the two.
Sometimes you don't know until you try..

Hey, very nicely done! I absolutely love this shot. This is more my style of photography and I haven't seen much of it on this forum. I have a fascination with decaying/dilapidated structures.
The sky is just a tad bright on the one side, however, I think it adds to the contrast of the barn against the sky and the first thing that draws my eye is the barn. Also, the b&w conversion is nice, but I much prefer the colored photo as it adds more character and tells more of a story. I also like the angle you decided on. |
