Default Wall-eyed Border Collie Sheepdog

I shoved the camera into the face of a working dog as it was taking a spell. The sheep in the background are still keeping a watchful eye. Pretty rare to find a border collie with two wall-eyes. How would you improve the shot? What do you like/dislike?

Great shot! Love the timing and composition! The close-up of the dog with the sheep in the background is a great attention-grabber.

Lovely composition! I can only suggest to use smaller aperture like F/5.6 or F/8 so that the dog's DoF will be much greater. Your shutter speed is still 1/1000 so it should be fine I reckon
Cheers

As the owner of 2 mad border collies, this photo really appeals to me! I agree though that a greater DOF would be better - the sheep get lost unless you're looking really carefully.

I love this shot. It give the dogs character and the message it tells me is "hurry I have work to do!"

Great job.

I really like this photo. Really good composition. I agree with the comments that it would be better if the sheep were a bit clearer. BTW, what's a wall-eye? Does it refer to the colour?
