Default Lonelyness (firts photo in DPS)

Hello everybody,

This is my first photo in DPS. I would like to know what do you feel about and if you have any technical or compositing tips so I can improve my cityscapes...

Many thanks for your help.

welcome to dps, christian....

that's a very nice first offering to critique......in order to offer technical advice, our members need your exif data.....

I really like it. It looks good at first glance and it keeps my eye interested and moving around the shot. The textures at the bottom contrasting with the softness of the clouds is a nice pairing as well.

Thanks DPPhotographer. It is really nice to have a photo that people like.

If any one has a critic, suggestion to improve it, or any other feeling, please feel free to comment.

A few things I love:

1. Great color contrast: gold versus blue. This makes the photo really stick out.
2. Great texture contrast: the hatching of the fence (?) versus the smooth sky. Also very striking.
3. Good job interrupting the patterns with the weather station (again, maybe wrong name) and the cloud -- those interruptions add a lot of interest.

I like the shapes and strong lines involved, but I think the composition (using the cloud) could have been a little more careful, perhaps putting it further up and to the left. I know that you have to deal with what nature gives you, of course.

Overall, excellent photo!
