Default Does Super Shallow Landscape shot work?

Traditionally landcapes are shot with maximum depth of field, I'm wondering if you think this shot works shallow and why or why not? Thanks for your thoughts!

The idea works fine, particularly with a backdrop like that but I think you need a more interesting subject.

traditionally, landscapes are shot in landscape orientation too. Just because something is traditionally done a particaulr way, doesnt mean you have to do it that way. I think your take on small dOF is nice - but the branch is a bit 'boring' - a more interesting subject would be good - like someone else said above.

The colours are amazing too

You're welcome - and please don't feel you're being ganged up on by a conspiracy of Nathans

lol! Nope not feeling ganged up on. I appreciate honesty. Critiques are only valuable if they make you better, right?

I'm a huge fan of unique shots and I congratuate you on thinking outside the box !
A nice csingle colorful leaf at the tip of the branch would have asked a touch more interest.
Might cheat with a piece of tape and a fallen leaf :>)
