![]() = Canon Rebel xTi, 50 mm 1.8f lens ap: 1.8 ISO 400 ss: 1/2000 natural light (Deleted the crop since I wasn't supposed to post 2. oops) What do you think? Focus and dof ok? Does the crop enhance, or detract? I like the crop, except that it makes those center leaf stems more noticeable. Maybe I should have moved them before I took the shot. This is where they landed after the rain and wind. Last edited by HeyThereChelle; 10-22-2009 at 04:13 AM. Reason: per DPS guidelines-only one image per 24 hours please |

For me, the full picture looks better for these reasons:
frislty, you are right - the leave stems are really distracting on the cropped version; and secondly, the focus seems to be off the flower on the left and more on the green leave above it. There is no problem with it on a full version of the photo, but if you crop almost all off the green leave, the picture looks blurry. Since the flowers and the leaves are so close to each other, it is hard to get really good DOF. Overall, I really like the composition and the mood of your picture - the last colours of the summer.
