Default Sydney Opera House

A shot from earlier this week.

What do you guys think? I feel i should have exposed it a bit longer to brighten up the foreground of the image. This is a 6 image stitch. Click here for details on how the image was taken.

This is a beautiful image. It is so gratifying to see an image of the Opera House that I haven't seen 10,000 times before. Great perspective. I agree about lightening the foreground though. This image is so nice otherwise, I think I would try to lighten the shadows in post processing.
By lightening the shadows just a tad, you can bring out the detail in the fence and the base of the Opera House a little without losing the fixture's globe shadows. I had a quick go at it. If you want me to take this down, please let me know.

Great shot Jim. I see what you are saying about the foreground, but I actually kind of like it. I feel that if the foreground was any lighter it would detract from the real focus of the images which is the opera house. There is a very nice balance to this image...very pleasing :-)

Great picture well balanced shot. The foreground adds to the overall beauty of the picture,
just the way it is.

Mike.

Thanks for the Feedback guys. Now that you mention it, I'm not too sure how I'd like the foreground to be! maybe I should have taken the image and brought up the foreground shadows a tiny bit??

I see myself making another visit to redo this shot!

Jim, Thanks for the post processing work. I don't mind you having it up there, as long as there's a photo credit.
