Default Antigua

Hi there,

Few months ago, I got my new camera. When I went to Guatemala, this summer on holiday, I started to shoot in Raw. This is what I got.

Mi question is... Is it a very hard processing? Does it look very unreal? Very HDRised? I don't know if this is a too artificial way of postproducting my pictures...

Thank you!!!

Shutter speed 1/60
Aperture f/13

Cool thanks. I really like how you did this. It really brings out the details very nicely but doesnt seem so cartoony as a lot of them look.
I dont know what the Foremost thing is, but for me it totally takes away from the building and the guy sitting there. That and the 2 rods stikcing up from the building are the only things I would even consider changing.
May I be so bold as to ask what steps you took to end up with this look?

Well, the man sleeping sells ice creams, and the Foremost thing is his fridge with the ice creams!!!

My postprocessing steps were:
Shot in Raw, process in ACR and work with smart objects by zones and layer masks. This way I could work with a different ACR adjusment for every diferent zone I wanted to adjust, name the sky, the street, the building, and the man with the fridge. I don't remember if I used a noise reduction... Sorry!!

Thanks for commenting!!

I like this pic, the composition is interesting... (the people all around).. the PP is nicely done, compared to a lot i've seen.

Hmm.. i took a second look and let me rephrase.... the composition is very ! interesting, and fun to look at, that guy better wake up, coz it looks like it's about to rain soon.....

good job.

Very nice shot. I'm not a huge fan of HDR, but this isn't too over the top. The only area that I think could use some work is the tree and grass on the right. The leaves of the tree are very distracting...they are bright blue and green. The grass also looks over exposed. Besides that I like the shot. The sky, building and road complement each other very well and the the ice cream cart really pops!
