Default Navigation light

Took this photo over the weekend while on a short vacation. It's the navigation light the lights the way into the bay at Two Harbors, MN along the Lake Superior North Shore (Minnesota). Would like to know what you think of the composition as well as the exposure. Thanks in advance!

I like the composition (though if I could also appreciate it if it were cropped more like a panoramic photograph, with the bottom edge directy beneath the pier).

The exposure looks good to me - but I'm definitely an amateur and I'm sure someone more experienced will chime in soon enough.

It's a beautiful scene.

Great idea! I think you might be right. I cropped it and I like it better. It leads you into the scene better and makes it a little more inviting. What do you think?

Good crop! When I first read your post, this crop was what I was going to recommend, then I saw the post and your response. Great image!

Thanks Jim. It did the trick nicely indeed. I'm so impressed with the idea that I think I might just add this to my "for sale" list. Thanks for the idea johassler!
