Default Gathering Storm

Right before a rainstorm started, I saw this weathervane with the storm clouds in the background and thought it looked like a good shot.

Hi
I like the fact that you're shooting on a cloudy day means your sensor can coupe with the less broad dynamic range... However, I'd suggest you to crop the photo, throw away a bit of the left and bottom side, so that your object is not in the dead centre. And also try to crop a bit of leaves on the top right corner, it's just a distraction to me...
I'd wait to see the result.. Hope that it would work.
Cheers mate

Nice work, overall i like the shots, although, i would make a few adjustments if i had to;
Drag the crop from the right top corner downward and leftwards, thus cropping both, the right side and the upper portion a bit.
Increase the contrast by darkening the cloud a "bit" and also increasing its clarity. Also increase amount of red for that flag (or whatever it is )

Default Gathering Storm 2

Here's an update based on feedback. Cropping still left it a little too centered I think. I sharpened a little but I think that made the background clouds grainy. I bumped the contrast a bit and I'm happy with the details on the fan blades. I selected just the red and tried to make that pop a bit more.

I like that. The farm theme is nice. Storms and farms go hand in hand.

Does that windmill actually move? If so it may be nice to have a longer exposure and have some motion blur, emphasising the wind coming from the appoaching storm.
