Default A weird landscape

wierd sihouette

This wierd photo was taken at daybreak. I was shot with my compact camera I had read somewhere to try shooting with all the functions on the camera dial as a fun thing so I gave it a go.
I used snow, twilght, beach etc but didn't take note of what the exposures were.

I had to delete most of the photos as they looked so bad but this one caught my eye.
I used Photoshop to put an 's' curve on the photo and this brought livened up the colours slightly.

Could you advise me as to whether the colours should have been brought out more or they are too 'lively' or if I could have improved the image in amy other way.

Thank youCamera: Sony DSC-W80
Exposure: 0.013 sec (1/80)
Aperture: f/2.8
Focal Length: 5.8 mm
ISO Speed: 125
Exposure Bias: 0 EV
Flash: Off, Did not fire

Default It's not Weird!

Hi
In my opinion, I like the vibrance of the skies in your photo. It's not too lively, because the dark shadows also balancing the colours. For me, sometimes you should try crossing the boundaries (at this stage, the colours) to achieve something new... Photography is sometimes art too, so it's free to get something different that anyone else
I'm mainly shooting landscape, and I'm assure you that it is a great picture ^^
Cheers mate

It looks fine except that you need to straiten out your horizon.

Staighten the horizon & you have a great capture - with nothing weird at all, just nature doing it's thing

Sorry kencaleno, I really think all it needed was a straighter horizon. I like the original much better than the brighter version. Just my opinion.

Ditto.

Although I would play with the levels of beedee's original just a bit to take out the "fogginess" of the darker colours...aka make them darker. However I would not go as far as kencaleno's version, looks a bit too much.
