I adjusted the levels in Photoshop but is there anyway I could have made the rainbow more prominant.

By toning down the colors on the hill would be a good starter. For me they are just too oversaturated. Nice shot tho!

Default Dubrovnic coast

Thanks for the reply and your right, a fool and photoshop should be kept apart I lost sight along the way and got carried away in the process. I have redone the pic and posted it on flicker without boosting the contrast and just a slight adjustment on levels. much more natural. Not sure if I have done the link to flicker right and I don'want to break the rules by posting two picks in one thread.

You can post your new photo if you would like. Just as long as they are 24 hours apart it's cool!

Default Dubrovnic Coast

Ok this the third one because No2 was a bit flat, with this I adjusted with Levels and just used auto contrast in photo shop. It gave more punch to the Rainbow without overdoing the coast, I hope.

I think the third version aproches to a "keeper".
Still a bit dark inthe upper right corner.

Ok before you get sick of me and this pic I have made a final adjustment with curves in that top right corner. Thanks for your comments and help I've enjoyed it.
