Default twisted tree

Aperature
Exposure +/- : -1.3
Focal length: 28mm

trying for contrast. Not sure if I am getting there. Any suggestions?

My eye wonders away from the tree and towards the structure. The shadow on the knot of the tree also takes away from the knot. Maybe try to change the angle and blur out the background a bit.

I agree with Big Nick about changing the angle. I also find that the twisted tree gets lost because of the other trees in the shot. Good luck, and cool tree.
