I think the comp works. What I really like are the chairs, they draw you into everything. Maybe a tad oversharpened, but not much. Did you bounce the flash or diffuse it? You might want to try that next time.

Thanks for the feedback rosburg I might try unsharpening the photo a little bit. And I neither bounced the flash nor diffused it, i used the built in flash on the camera.

As I went to college in the city, I feel duty bound to point out that it is spelt Gloucester.

The cathedral is well worth a visit for both the architecture & it's amazing history - the site has been a place of continuous Christian worship for over 1300 years. King Henry III was crowned there & King Edward II is buried there.

Nice picture!

Nothing to do with the photograph, but is it my imagination or are the chairs facing the wrong direction?

This is a beautiful place. I think the flash on the chairs made them so light that they are somewhat distracting from the beautiful work you did with the stained glass.

The Flash on the chairs and base of the alter a little distracting from the main points of interest.
I would have no flash but tried lowering the shutter and aperture, bring up the ISO > focus high on the alter or windows and worked a little in PP. The colour needs to be appreciated, I would love to have seen it with sun rays coming through the glass!! So much detail to get in, you done well, a 10-22 wide angle would have been great for this!!

Yeah I know but the wonders of hindsight. I wish now I had taken a tripod and not used the flash.

Thanks for the comment nswphotos.I would have loved to have taken it with a super wide angle lens but I don't own one unfortunately but I am considering getting one in the future.
