Hi, I just bought my first digital SLR, a Canon Rebel XSi. I'm using the kit lens. It bugs me that the dark parts are foggy, but then that what I like about the lighter parts.

I think what has happened is that it is slightly overexposed, do you know what you have your metering set to (spot...average...area)...you need to have a play with all the settings....take the same scene with different settings, note them down and see what the difference is.....but overall this is a good photo......Paul
