Default Lake Champlain, VT @ night

I used a long exposure on this shot and then played around with a flashlight. I kind of like the effect, but do not know if the foreground lit up is distracting or adds to the photo. Any and all feedback is welcome, thanks. No PP done on this.

You are spot on with your own critique. The brightness in the foreground takes away from the rest of the photo.

I agree. The lit-up front detracts from the beautiful light on the horizon.

Without the foreground lit up, i think the photo would be missing something. May be more exposure for the horizon, otherwise i agree with the model comment, needs something in the front of the picture to draw your attention out to the rest of the photo. Telling a story so to speak. eg: the back of a person fishing with the rod pointing to horizon??? Hope that makes sense?
