Smile Beach Sunset

I took this with my Cannon Powershot A1000. The exposure was set to 0, ISO 100 and the white balance was set to daylight. I didnt do much editing except for straightening. Should I Straighten it more? What do you think?

Did you have a tripod with you? What aperture did you shoot this at? The horizon looks pretty straight but I think it's still slightly off. I think the composition in the image is very good, along with the timing of catching the sun going just behind the clouds.

The boat adds a lot but it needs to be darker to make it a silhouette. That + the clouds and the sun set will take this from a good picture to a Great picture.
Hope this Helps.

Mike.

I love how the dock cuts the picture into 3rd's (almost 3rd's). Overall great shot.

I agree the image needs more contrast, next time I would under expose the image by a stop and see what the results are.

Thanks for the advice and i do think that adding more contrast adds to the shot! by the way I was not using a tripod and i have a point-and-shoot so i cant really adjust the arpeture.
