Lonely Tomato

I started a 1-a-day project, and this is my first. Maybe the last tomato I get from this plant.

It's a good concept. Do you have any specific questions about the photo?

In general, I like the color contrast -- the bright red tomato against the green leaves and bluish background is pleasant. I'd actually like to see the tomato a little closer up, so that it fills a little more of the frame -- this would make it a bit more prominent and remove some of the distracting leaves in the very front.

You might also consider putting it on one of the 1/3 points, which might make the composition a bit more pleasant.

Thanks for the comments. I didn't have any specific questions. I was just hoping for any comments that would help with future photographs. I think I will try cropping and subject placing as you suggested.

I think this does make a difference in the photo. When I cropped the photo I used a rule of thirds guide in the Gimp to place the tomato.

OOPS! It appears that I have broken the rules here with my second image. I've gotta learn to read the instructions first. It must be a guy thing. Sorry.
