Default Input on a scenic shot?

Please have a look at this and let me know what you think that I could do to improve things...

This is straight out of the camera (other than resizing it). I was using my Canon XSi with the kit lens and a cir. polarizing filter (please see attached exif data).

To me it looks a little under exposed, but any changes I made seemed to make it over exposed

Anyways, please let me know your thoughts

It could do some touch-up, try increasing saturation a bit using any PP software. The pic is well exposed. Nice composition too.

here's a simple example.

i like it. I always find these shots more interesting if there are cool clouds.

WOW! That looks great! My PP skills are really lacking...I'm going to play around with that right now - it really makes a difference!

After hitting Google to find out how to adjust the saturation, and playing in PSE for a few minutes, I've come up with this...

I think it looks much "richer". Thoughts?

Yeah it does look better. However I would try to scale a bit back on the blue saturation. It looks a bit too unnatural and the fact that the sky has no clouds does not help. Interesting shot though.

I really like it...nicely improved from the original. I like the blue, yellow & green in the river.

Default How's this for a quick fix

I cropped a bit from the sky, foreground and left of the image to accentuate the river valley which is IMO the main interest in this nice image.

I darkened the sky a bit.

I increased the contrast and the saturation a tad also.

However, while this looks good on my monitor, it may not look good on other monitors.

Talking Just cropped the sky

I cropped just a bit of the sky - this appears to change the overall colour impression of the picture.

I love what you've done with this version...The skies are natural looking and water is still a natural blue and doesn't overly saturate the yellow. My opinion is the green trees in the photo need to be saturated without saturating any of the other colors...could you adjust just the green trees to make them richer, I think that would be key.

Other than that I like the composition and photo overall.
