Default Composition and Fill light okay?

I took this photo today on my way back from Vancouver Island. The shadow area surrounding the table in the foreground was a bit dark, so I added some fill light in Lightroom 2. Did I add too much fill light, and how do you like the composition? I look forward to hearing your feedback!

ISO 100/ 18mm/ f16/ 1/125 sec

This is a nice shot i find. I don't think you overdid it on the lighting effect, it looks very natural.

That sucks! It's nice to know that people are here to do both! Sounds like me a bit, too! : )

The amount of fill light looks good to me. I do agree with san_at_cliff. It's not clear what the picture is about. Since you can't go back and retake the picture, composition suggestions are only for future use. It might be more interesting if there weren't any people on deck. Since the people are there, maybe they should be the focus and be more prominent. I think the left hand side of the picture is distracting. I found myself trying to figure out whether there is a staircase there or whether what looks like a viewing platform with rails is an extension of an inside deck. Ideally, I don't think a photo should prompt this kind of question, unless that is the specific intent.
