Default Obscured Moon

Moon Shot

This shot was taken in Alaska this summer. Seeing the moon in the summer months in Alaska is very rare so it was a special shot for not only me buy my sanity. I would like to see what people think of the capture. I have been trying at length to get a full moon like this with a landscape portion. I'm happy with how the mountain is in the scene but I would like to see if it really enhances the moon. What do people think of the combination of the two? Please let me know. Any and all comments are welcome...Thanks!

Canon 50D

Focal Length 600mm

Its interesting how warm the moon is, yet the rest of the image is such a rich cool blue. I would like to see the entire image zoomed out quite a bit more. It just looks odd with the tiny bit of mountain top and a huge huge moon.

Agreed, I'd love to see more of the mountain. It's very mysterious there, in the bottom of the frame, and it looks very cool (compositionally and color-value wise!). It's a very neat photo though -- good job!

Thanks for the responses. This was shot with a really cheap 600mm lens so zooming out wasn't an option at the moment. But the difference in color between the mountain and moon is really interesting. Thanks for looking.
