Not sure if I'm putting this in the correct category but I'm sure someone will put me straight
I took this shot of a shop front in Paris, I've cropped it and cloned out the opening times and letter box. Would welcome any other comments. I loved the colours. First time I've done this from Flickr so hope it works A bit of light shopping!

The arrangement of colors and spheres is very pleasant -- I like that a lot, especially as they glow within the darker store.

The whole photo is slightly crooked, which you can especially notice at the top. There is also some lens distortion (which I wouldn't notice, except that the straight lines on the sides and top really show it). Similarly, you might want to correct the perspective (the right side is slightly farther away than the left).

The reason that the distortions and perspective bothers me, is that this is a very geometric photo. There is a nice contrast between good straight lines, and the random positions of the globes. As such, I really want to see the straight lines be straight, so as to emphasize that contrast.

Good start -- I really like it -- now it's the details.

Just beginning here so please be patient. I was looking for a general critique - composition etc. and really do I show any promise or do I ditch my camera now!

good eye. As a beginner, I never would have seen this. Keep shooting and your technique will get better.
