Default Dubrovnik Roofs Through the City Wall

Hey guys!

This is my first post to this section and a shot that I'd really like your opinion on as well as ways to improve it with editing/cropping. I took this shot of the town's roofs with a point-and-shoot through the wall of Dubrovnik, Croatia.

Thanks!

Hi!
This is also my first postin this section.

I like your image and I love to discuss pictures. So if you do not agree with my opinion, that's fine. Then I'd like to know why, because I long to learn more from others.

First of all, I like the way you captured the roofs through that very special window. (English is not my mothertongue). Since the view on the roof is very small, the window takes up most of the image. On my screen it seems rather dark. So I would try to lighten the window part a bit and also sharpen the image a little, to enhance the structure of the cement. And last but not least, I would try to have a look at it after you straighten it, so the roof outside is horizontally.

I did that all to the image, to give it a try. I you like to see what it looks like, just holler and I'll upload it.

I'm very interested to read what others think.

here it is, but I'm sure, others will think different. It's just what I would have done if the shot was mine...

Thanks for the photo! I've actually played around with it some more, following some of your directions, and have achieved a look which I like a lot better. What do you think?
