In the Eye of the Firestorm

Hi again,

This photo was taken at the Whitfield fires in 2006. I honestly cannot even remember taking this photo as it was taken at 3:41am following another long shift on the front line.

My first attempt at this show was completely unfocussed, but a second attempt resulted in this shot.

My question with this one is whether the colours need to be changed to increase the levels of orange. This was how the photo came out, with the intensity of the fire causing a whiter-than-normal exposure. I tried to play around with the photo colour but to my eye, it didn't have the same impact as the original.

The tangent question I have is whether something like this would be a good stock photo? I have heard a lot about stock photos, but have no idea about how or where to look into what makes a good stock photo and what the process is in getting started with stock photos. Does anyone have any good advice on where to get started with these?

For me, if this is going to be a stock photo then the answer is yes. If its an artsy fartsy kinda thing, the colors are cool
