You did a nice job of exposing for the sky. Did you have a specific question? That's sort of our custom here: if you post something in critique, you need to ask a specific question.

Thank you no i thought that this was just a critique of pictures i didn't realize that i needed to ask a specific question. I honestly do not know what to ask about my photos but im sure i'll learn. I just recently aquired a camera from my mother.

First of all, welcome to the site. Wander around, check out the different sections and you'll learn all about what this site has to offer. It's a great place to learn, share ideas, show your images as well as see others'. There's rules at the top of each section to help you out, and if you have any questions, there are plenty of people to point you in the right direction. This being the critique section, it's for more detailed looks and analysis of images. That's why a more specific question is required, along with the exif data, so the help can be more detailed. You'll find that more often, the replies to your posts will also go beyond your specific question...other elements of the image that stand out, good or bad, will be commented on.

As for this image, I agree with Chip, the sky looks great. I would also add that the composition of the buildings are interesting. But, and this is part of a critique, the buildings themselves aren't that interesting to me. I like the idea you were going for, though. Keep shooting, and looking forward to more of your work.

Great start, you may want to look into some photographic studies of architecture - the play of lines, perspectives, verticality, so on and so forth.

I've always found architectural photography to be quite a challenge without the proper equipment and viewpoint, yet I wish you all the luck in mastering it.
